Schmidt Funeral Home has always believed serving our community is a responsibility as well as a privilege, and we're honored when a family entrusts us with their loved one. Today, the Schmidt family and our experienced team of funeral directors are continuing our 70-year tradition of excellence at both our original East Avenue location in historic downtown Katy and our new location on Grand Parkway South.

Our state-of-the-art Grand Parkway complex includes a 16,000 square foot beautifully-appointed primary building featuring a 300-seat chapel, two large staterooms and a spacious reception area. The 4-acre complex also includes Katy's first and only on-site crematory.

Recently Schmidt Funeral Home received the Exemplary Five Star Service Award. We were the only funeral home in the State of Texas to earn this prestigious award in 2015 and we’ve now been a recipient of the Five Star Service Award for 14 consecutive years. The award recognizes excellence in timeliness, customer service, the application of technology, training and accuracy in filing death certificates.
