Member Spotlight: Connie Flores, Champion Restoration
Can you tell us a little about the history of your business?
Champion began with doing water mitigation. Then seeing how it followed with some having mold resulting from the water led the company to become trained and equipped to be able to also assist with taking care of that as well. Then moved to also help the homeowner to restore their home to put it back to it's previous state.
What inspired you to start this business and how has your vision evolved over time?
Seeing the need out here in Houston with the weather that puts homeowners in circumstances where they need of our services felt right to be able to help our community by restoring their homes to pre loss condition.
What sets your business apart from others in your industry?
What sets us apart is the fact that we are locally owned and operated. We are hands on with all of our homeowners and stay in touch every step of the way. They know they may reach us 24/7 and that we have a highly certified crew to handle any restoration situation.
How has being a member of the Chamber of Commerce benefited your business?
The chamber has allowed us to share the word and how we may help out the community and inform other members that we are here to help. That they can count on us to help them even if it's to answer questions and or come over and check for moisture or mold indications.
In what ways do you engage with the local community?
By going to most of the Chamber events and sharing my business card and by talking about what we do everywhere I we go. We have a facebook and instagram page and our vans out there driving to their daily jobs. Often neighbors will ask about what we do and we share.
What advice would you give to new business owners considering joining the Chamber?
I would definitely recommend the chamber for exposure and networking. This is a very active and positive group and Adrienne is a power tool. She is on her game 100%.
