Can you tell us a little about the history of your business?
Alta Grandway was established in July 2024. We offer 1, 2, & 3 bedroom apartment homes (offering 6 weeks free & fenced yards for select homes). Greystar is the management company, and Wood Partners are the owners.
What inspired you to start this business, and how has your vision evolved over time?
Katy has a plethora of experiences to offer newcomers; therefore, the owners decided to build in the perfect location (intersecting with 99 and I-10).
What sets your business apart from others in your industry?
Greystar is grand! The presentation of fenced yards, a 24-hour accessible clubhouse, EZ-Tag sticker drive-in access, and wash stations for fur babies offer a luxury experience without breaking the bank.
How has being a member of the Chamber of Commerce benefited your business?
We are newly enrolled and excited for the forthcoming experience and exposure.
In what ways do you engage with the local community?
Alta Grandway's team visits surrounding areas to present gear, invite others to the community, and provide a welcoming cadence.
What advice would you give to new business owners considering joining the Chamber?
We greatly advise a subscription with you all due to the networking opportunities. The impact of enrollment will greatly change the trajectory of your business.
What do you believe has been the key to your business's success so far?
The attentiveness to our customer's needs, curb appeal, and a nostalgic experience.
What challenges has your business faced, and how have you overcome them?
A shortage of interested residents. We overcame this experience by outreach and marketing.
Can you tell us about a product or service you're particularly proud of?
We are extremely proud of our amenities and apartment home features, such as fenced yards.
How do you stay ahead in a competitive market?
We stay ahead by paying attention to our competitors and what they are offering.
What does excellent customer service mean to you?
Customer service is the result of performance. Therefore, customer service means everything.
What has been the most memorable customer interaction you’ve had?
Helping a customer locate the apartment home that suited them best by asking detailed questions and seeing the satisfaction with their decision during their residency.
What’s the most rewarding part of running your business?
We have reached 1/3 of our occupancy in 3 months.
How has your business changed your life personally?
The growth is rewarding for everyone. Goals achieved impact the staff and residents.
Who has been your biggest mentor or source of inspiration throughout your business journey?
My biggest source of inspiration is a friend by the name of Rita. She has impacted the knowledge and skill I have displayed in this industry.
