Dog Groomer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets. This role requires not only grooming skills but also excellent customer service abilities to ensure pet owners feel confident and satisfied with our services.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs of various breeds.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require attention.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
• Handle pets safely and comfortably, utilizing proper techniques to minimize stress during grooming sessions.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of all animals in our care.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related field such as veterinary technician or animal care is preferred.
• Skills in dog training or pet sitting can be beneficial for understanding animal behavior and handling.
• Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with dog owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment is required.
• Familiarity with kennel operations can enhance the grooming experience for both pets and owners.
